Click here to view a list of parish-based projects completed by FLM students. Each project is synopsized. A full copy of the project is available upon request. This list will be of interest to FLM students considering project topics and to parish leaders looking for new ideas. The list itself is the result of a Third Year Project by Kathy Fletcher ( FLM, 2009)

The Commissioned Lay Ecclesial Ministry Program (CLEM)
(Previously known as Foundations for Lay Ministry Program (FLM)

Director, CLEM Program
Carol Stanton

The Diocese of Orlando offers a three-year program for the formation of lay ecclesial ministers. Pastors recommend lay women and men who feel called to ministry within the church and who have already demonstrated the capacity for leadership within their parish but could benefit from theological education and ministry formation. CLEM is a certification program, which, when successfully completed, ends in a public commissioning in the Cathedral by the Bishop of the Diocese.

Meeting at San Pedro Center one week-end a month for 10 months,CLEM offers courses which provide a solid basis in Systematic Theology, Scripture, Liturgy, Sacramental Theology, Moral Theology, Social Justice Teaching of the Church, Pastoral Ministry and Parish Leadership. Participants also engage in common prayer, theological reflection groups and special sessions on contemporary issues in pastoral ministry. Facilitators aid the participants in an evaluation of their human, spiritual and pastoral growth. In January, there is an CLEM retreat.

CLEM is located at the Diocesan Spiritual Development Center, San Pedro Center. Its co-directors are members of San Pedro Center’s staff—Dr. Carol Stanton and Fr. Ben Berinti, C.Pp.S. Mrs. Gloria Pagan is the Program Coordinator.
