Program Description:	Retablos are a New World rendition of a Spanish Colonial religious art form. New Catholic converts of the Americas made their own images of the saints out of what was at hand. These icons, still created today throughout Central and South America and the southwestern US, are painted on scap tin or wood, then mounted in a decorated frame. We supply the materials.
