Peace Pole Dedication

Beginning in St. Francis Hall

A Peace Pole is an internationally recognized symbol of the hopes and dreams of the entire human family, standing vigil in silent prayer for peace on earth. Each Peace Pole bears the message May Peace Prevail on Earth in different languages on each of its four or six sides. There are an estimated 250,000 Peace Poles in every country in the world dedicated as monuments to peace. San Pedro has installed two Peace Poles on our campus near our St. Francis of Assisi statue and we are gifting one to Bishop Moore Catholic High School.

San Pedro is home to the Lady Poverty Fraternity, a Secular Order of Franciscans and they are organizing this event. The dedication prayer service will involve prayers and songs for peace, with a special focus on the current wars in Ukraine and the Middle East.

Reception to follow.

Registration is not required and the event is free.
