Our San Damiano gathering for the month of May occurs on the Solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord, one of the most mysterious and perhaps benignly neglected experiences in the life of Jesus and his disciples. Through the exploration of scripture, theology, spirituality, and images from art, we will seek a deeper understanding of the Ascension in the life of the Church and our own lives.
Meet Our Speaker!
Rev. Benjamin Berinti, C.PP.S. is a Missionary of the Most Precious Blood and currently serves as Pastor of Immaculate Conception Church in Melbourne Beach.
In his 39 years of priestly ministry, Fr. Ben has served as a university professor of religion and humanities; dean of Catholic campus ministry at the University of Central Florida; on the pastoral team at the San Pedro Spiritual Center; co-director of Lay Ecclesial Ministry formation; and parish pastor. Fr. Ben has ministered in the Diocese of Orlando for over 25 years.
A well-respected teacher, retreat leader, pastor, author and theologian, Fr. Ben has written three collections of spiritual essays, as well as four hand-made limited edition spiritual chapbooks.
In his spare time, he serves as a provincial councilor for the United States Province of the Missionaries of the Precious Blood, Vicar for Religious in our Diocese, and as a member of the Orlando Diocese Priests’ Council.
Cancellation Policy: Two weeks before the event, a full refund can be made. If the cancellation is requested within 2 weeks of the event a refund can be given, less the $3 nonrefundable deposit. Please call or email as soon as a cancellation is needed.
