Aging With Grace: Reliving the Journey – Using Hindsight to Gain Insight. Led by Fr. Pat McCorkell
Born in Superior, Wisconsin, Fr. Pat attended Campion Jesuit High School in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, before entering the Society of Jesus (Jesuits) in September 1962 at St. Bonifacius, Minnesota. He received a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and Letters from St. Louis University in 1968. From 1968 to 1971, he taught as a Jesuit Scholastic at St. Francis Indian Mission in South Dakota. He earned a Master’s Degree of Divinity at Regis College in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and was ordained in June 1974, later earning a Master’s in Sacred Theology in 1975. From 1976 to 1983, he co-directed the deacon formation program in the Diocese of Rapid City, South Dakota, and was a founder of the Sioux Spiritual Center at Plainview, South Dakota, in 1977. He served as Superior of the Jesuit Community of St. Francis Mission and President of the Rosebud Educational Society from 1983 to 1989. From 1990 to 1996, he was the Wisconsin Province novice director. He then became pastor of St. Isaac Jogues parish in Rapid City, South Dakota, from 1997 to 2003. In 2003, he was assigned to Demontreville Jesuit Retreat House and became its director in December 2004.
