4:00-5:00 pm: Taize Prayer Service
This event is the final in a four-part series designed to help people become more aware of our commonality and bring hope to our communities.
We will gather to remember the gift of the Incarnation through the eyes of the prophets in the Old Testament, and the birth of Jesus and its effects on the world. Through Sacred Texts of different faiths, we will learn what impact the birth of Christ had on the world as promised in John 3:16. After the reflection, we will have a Taizé Style Prayer Service to thank God for the gift of God’s Promise Fulfilled in our World.
Nostra Aetate, is a groundbreaking document written by Pope Paul VI during the Second Vatican Council in 1965, which explores the relationship between the Catholic Church and non-Christian religions. It emphasizes the importance of understanding, respect, and dialogue among people of different faiths.
As part of the Jubilee Year, Pilgrims of Hope, this series aims to foster a deeper sense of unity and shared humanity. We invite you to join us in this journey of reflection and prayer.
Come and be part of this inspiring event that seeks to build bridges and promote peace in our communities.
This event is free and a collection will be taken at the event to help cover expenses.
We ask for an RSVP due to capacity limits and so we know how many to prepare for. If you are no longer able to attend, please contact the Programming Office.
