Transitus of St. Francis

Saturday, October 3, 2026

7:00-8:00 pm

Mary, Mother of God Chapel

Join us as we celebrate the Transitus of St. Francis, a prayerful liturgy commemorating the passage of St. Francis of Assisi from earthly life to eternal life. Transitus means "passage," and this beautiful tradition invites us to remember not only the final moments of St. Francis' life, but also the hope of the Resurrection that shaped his faith.

As we celebrate the Jubilee of St. Francis, we will reflect on our own journey of faith—through life's joys and challenges, change and uncertainty, suffering and hope—and consider how God continually calls us to deeper trust and new life. Inspired by the example of St. Francis, may we grow in our desire to follow Christ with humility, peace, and joy.

Come and commemorate the life and legacy of one of the Church's most beloved saints as we gather in prayer and thanksgiving.

Registration is not required and the event is free
