Fr. Cecilio de la Cruz

Nacido en España el 21 de noviembre de 1934, de una familia católica. El Señor en su bondad me hizo percibir desde temprana edad su llamada vocacional. Entre al Seminario Escolapio a los 14 años y cursado el bachillerato hice el noviciado y de continuación, tras el primer compromiso de entrega al Señor, realice los estudios de filosofía y teología. También hice el magisterio eclesiástico confirmándolo en validez civil.

Mi misión sacerdotal, desde 1959, se ha desarrollado fundamentalmente en la línea formativa del discernimiento y acompañamiento a jóvenes en las diversas etapas de su formación, tanto en nuestras casas de formación, como en el seminario diocesano de San Juan Puerto Rico.

En el año 1982, fui elegido provincial para la provincia de Aragón por seis años. Por tanto, tuve la oportunidad de iniciar una fundación misionera en Camerún, Africa en el año 1987.

Teniendo la oportunidad de haber dado numerosos ejercicios espirituales a religiosos (as), así como también a sacerdotes diocesanos de San Juan, Ponce y Mayagüez, en Puerto Rico. Esta misión espiritual me llevo a Brasil, Argentina, Chile, Colombia y Costa Rica.

Por otra parte, el mismo misterio de formador ha supuesto la asistencia a cursos de espiritualidad en (Carmelitano de Roma e igualmente a la Universidad Pontificia Salesiana, también en de Roma por un año). Exigencia permanente pero agradecida al Señor, para dar a los demás lo que previamente uno está recibiendo del Señor en abundancia.

Desde 1991 estoy en Puerto Rico a donde llegue al ofrecerme voluntariamente ante la escasez de sacerdotes.

Mi misión enfre los jóvenes y la gente, en general me lleva a personalizar encuentros, retiros, entre otros, por el Reino de Dios.

Fr. Ray Chase

Rev. Ray Chase is an ordained Roman Catholic priest of the Archdiocese of Baltimore. For 26 years, Father Ray was the director of Spiritual Development for residential programs for Child and Family Services of Catholic Charities of Baltimore. In that position he developed, implemented and supervised a number of specialized experiential programs designed to address the spiritual and moral deficits and damage of latency age children in residential care due to neglect/abuse and/or emotional or behavioral problems. In addition, he developed and implemented a comprehensive, multi-level experience-based spiritual development program appropriate for children and adults with a full range of developmental disabilities. Father Ray currently serves as Pastor to St. Vincent de Paul Church in Baltimore, Maryland.

Since 1966 Father Ray has served as Program Development Consultant for Illuminations, a national art based training and awareness program on child victimization. He is presently the Chaplain for Catholic Charities where he is responsible for developing and implementing programs to address workplace spirituality for the diverse staff and programs of Catholic Charities.

with Fr. Patrick Hannon

One of ten brothers and sisters, Fr. Patrick Hannon grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. He was taught by the Carmelite nuns in grade school, Holy Cross brothers in high school and Holy Cross priests at the University of Portland where he graduated in 1982. He was ordained a Holy Cross priest in 1989. Since then, Fr. Patrick Hannon has been a high school campus minister, teacher and principal. He has worked in an inner city parish and a house of hospitality ministering to the homeless. In 2008, he began working at the University of Portland, first teaching theology, and for the past three years teaching in the English department. Fr. Patrick Hannon has four collection of essays published, all focusing on Catholic spirituality. His most recent collection of essays, Sacrament: Personal Encounters with Memories, Wounds, Dreams, and Unruly Hearts (Ave Maria Press), was released three years ago. Fr. Patrick is an avid Oakland A’s and Golden State Warriors fan; he enjoys playing poker, the occasional microbrew beer, and writing. He also enjoys film, books, and spending time with my huge (50 nieces, nephews, grand nephews and nieces!) family and friends.

Fr. Kevin MacDonald

Fr. Kevin MacDonald, C.Ss.R., is a Redemptorist priest from Woburn, Massachusetts, about ten miles north of Boston. He entered the Redemptorist missionary order after attending Boston College and playing seven years of professional baseball with the Pittsburgh Pirates organization and overseas in Holland and Australia. He is a member of the Boston College Hall of Fame.

Ordained in 1991, he has worked as a parish priest in Dominica, New York, Boston, St. Lucia, and the Virgin Islands. He is currently in residence at the Redemptorist Community of Sacred Heart in New Smyrna Beach, Fl., as he preaches parish missions fulltime. He is greatly looking forward to the retreat Oct. 22-26.
