Deepen your appreciation for the greatest act of worship in the Catholic faith through this inspiring retreat exploring the beauty and meaning of the Holy Mass.
Led by members of a dedicated lay team with their Spiritual Director, Rev. George Dunne, S.S.S., each session combines engaging presentations, sacred music, personal witness, prayer, activities, and time for reflection. Together, you will journey through the different parts of the Mass, discovering not only what we do, but why we do it, and how each element draws us more deeply into the mystery of Christ's presence.
The Eucharist is God's gift that nourishes, transforms, and heals us throughout our spiritual journey. As members of the Body of Christ, we are called to full, conscious, and active participation in the liturgy—not as spectators, but as a community united in worship, praise, and thanksgiving. Nourished by Scripture, song, prayer, and the Eucharist, we encounter Christ, who invites us to His table and strengthens us to live our faith in the world.
The weekend concludes with the celebration of the Holy Mass, celebrated by Rev. George Dunne, S.S.S., offering participants the opportunity to experience the liturgy with renewed understanding, deeper reverence, and joyful hearts.
The weekend will include all meals, snacks, and materials. The weekend begins with check-in at 4:00 pm on Friday and ends on Saturday after 5:00 pm Mass. Detailed check-in information will be sent to all registered participants a few days before the weekend. Participants will also receive a schedule at check-in.
An optional, private guest room can be booked separately for an additional $94 by calling the San Pedro Main Office. When booking, please indicate that you are attending the Journey Through The Mass Retreat to receive this special rate. Space is limited.
