In honor of the Jubilee Year of St. Francis, this talk will explore St. Francis of Assisi’s profound love and reverence for Christ present in both the Eucharist and the Word of God. Francis recognized in both the humility and loving presence of Jesus, who continues to draw near to His people. Through Francis’ devotion to the Blessed Sacrament and his deep reverence for the words of Scripture, we will reflect on how we are called to encounter Christ more deeply in the Mass, listen more attentively to His Word, and respond with greater humility, gratitude, and love. Francis’ example invites us not only to recognize Christ’s presence, but to carry that encounter into the way we love and serve others in our daily lives.
